Just got my new PR2's and must say I am quite impressed so far. I replaced my beloved Conti Road Attaks with Diablo Strada's hoping to get a little more milage out of them but was just dissppointed in the feel and traction with no appreciable difference in milealge. The Strada's felt like I was running on a car tire, like you had to work to lean into a turn. With the new PR2's I have the same feel I had with the Attacks, now let's just see if I can get more the 7k out of them!
On a not so fun note, but flashers have decided to take and extended vacation. All of my turn signals work I just get nothing when I hit the flasher's button. The red button doesn't even light up.
Any suggestions on where to start? My inspection is coming up and I don't want to put the bike in for service just for this.

Not sure if this might fit your situation or not, but my emergency flashers were in a state of "not working" for a while. Turned out to just be a dirty contact that seems to have self corrected. I still have to press it more than once sometimes, but it is functional, just temperamental. My guess is I'll end up needing a new switch at some point, but for now, I just have to work at engaging it a bit.
Like you, all other electrical switches were/are functioning normally.
Maybe contact cleaner?? I am sure there are others thtat know more than I on the toubleshooting side.

If you install a Kisan Signal Minder you can turn on the emergency flashers by pressing both turn signal switches at the same time, rendering your inoperative flasher switch unnecessary anyway. Along with this, you benefit from the many other features of the Signal Minder.

I like the kissan signal minder as well. You get running lights, easier to use turn signals that turn off and the 4 way flashers.

Question: Do you already have a Kissan Signal Minder?
If so, IT may be your problem. My Kissan lasted only about 18 monthes before it failed. I had the problem where if you put the 4-way flashers on for any reason, you could not turn them off! I had to stop and completely pull the module (from the electrical box under the seat) to reset it. I reinstalled the original BMW control module once I got home and that fixed the problem.
The flasher module (whether BMW or Kissan) controls your all your turn signal and the emergency flasher functions via the simple momentary push switches (left, right, cancel, flasher). The good news is that it is either the switches, the wiring, the connector, or the flasher module. The module is the most complicated and hence a likely suspect. It is very easy to replace. I would try and borrow someone elses to see if that is the culprit before buying a new one however -- the Kissan is a bit pricey, and no doubt the BMW original is as well. If that does not solve it, then it is a lot more bother to replace the wiring and/or 4-way flasher switch.
