72 miles on new bike, won't start?

Post by hammerman »

Just got home with brand new 08 r1200r, parked it went in the house came back out to go for ride, tried to start it up, sputterd and died. Now won't start at all! I'm wondering if it could have water in the fuel from hurricane? Any suggestions. This is killing me!

Thanks

I had a similar problem on my 2008. It turned out to be a defective battery.

Holy Moley! That would p!ss me off too! But hang in there. What are the sysmptoms when you try to start it? Does the computer seem to initiate (do it's start up routine)? Does it turn over?
