Possible Group Buy / Wudo Fairing

Post by NCGS »

Gents, I sent an email to Christopher at Wudo asking if there was a possibility that we could get a discount if we bought more than one R12R fairing. The current price for the fairing (unpainted) in Europe is 334,45 Euros ($528.00) plus shipping. I received a reply this morning.

Before Christopher will begin working a discount, he'd like to know how many fairings we're considering purchasing (a reasonable question).

My .02 cents - if I could get one delivered to my door in NC for $500, I'd buy one in a heartbeat. Although that may not be doable, considering overseas shipping costs, that might be a good place to start.

Any takers?

I'd have to know what the Wudo does for me besides look good before I shelled out any kind of money.

I would do it if the order isn't placed for one month, or if I can put a small deposit down now....

For $500 or there abouts you can count me in too. I might go higher but give me some time to get used to it.

Before I'd commit, I'd really like to see a few more photos.. the mounting brackets, the back (since that's what we'd be staring at).. some side views perhaps...

Ok, let me see if I can get Christopher to send some additional pics, or perhaps post them in here.

The more time you spend looking at the one picture I can find of the Wudo fairing is NOT helping me feel better about $500! I don't know maybe it just that I'm getting cold feet. :-k

I sent for the Wudo catalog. Its on CD. I'll post whatever photos they include of the fairing.

Just for fun, here is the reply I got from Wudo when I requested the CD:

WÜDO - CD-Anforderung / Katalogvorbestellung / CD Order

Herzlichen Dank für Ihre CD-Anforderung. Unser Katalog-Team wird Ihre Anforderung schnellstmöglich bearbeiten. Die aktuelle Katalog-CD wird Ihnen in den nächsten Tagen per Post zugestellt.

Looks like a Parrabellum Scout, or a replica R90S fairing.. (perhaps the $60 J.C.Whitney one..)

Could very well be - might be a Wudo R90S replica..

Found on a /5 board:
RE: [5united] R90S Fairing on /5

Hey Chuck Connors,
If you are gonna pop the bucks to get an S fairing on your bike, a properly
fitting S dingle can be had for around 400 bucks plus shipping from WUDO in
Germany. Whether it's a Wudo product or a BMW part that was distributed in
Europe only, it is a real S dingle, mounting hardware kits sold as well.
The best part is..... They are spec for an R45/R65/R80 with the smaller
headlight.

A & S BMW has been putting a fairing very much like this one on some R's and selling them as a dealer installed option on new bikes. They are getting way more than $500.00 painted to match.

I think I will inquire as to what brand they are, and if it is the WuDo I will take some pics and post them.
