EWS/Roadside Assistance # and plan in US

Since I read about the EWS possible failure and am leaving on a long weekend tour tomorrow morning at sun up...I can't seem to find my owners manual at the moment. Can someone post the roadside assistance number in the US or private message it to me please. Is this something we are all automatically a part of as part of the new bike purchase or do we need to register first to take advantage of it...thank you in advance.

Have your VIN handy, they'll want it.
I never had to register, just received a card in the mail...
Have a fun, safe trip! The best way to avoid a EWS problem is not to turn the bike off... just ride!

I was just there for a few days, a few weeks ago. Someone told me that someone came by looking for me... a cop on a scooter looking for a guy with a broken foot... thought it might be you or another member from NYC.

Take the plastic master key with you. After I had to be rescued and a new ring antenna fitted, the dealer said to carry the plastic key with me in case it re-occurred. I didn't ask for an explanation but just presumed it didn't need the antenna to start the bike.

The plastic key is no different from the metal key.. it also uses EWS to start the bike.
