Here's the bracket installed, gets rid of some excess plastic. Made an aluminum plate to bolt the license plate to and that in turn attaches to the bracket.

Congratulations. Great looking bike (I'm biased however).
Also, I can see an actual lawn in your photo. I'm jealous because I have 3 feet of snow in my yard.
