Black / Silver Rockster

Post by joe bar »

Anyone seen one of these or got a picture?

I was at the Dirt Bike Show yesterday and picked up a WP brochure, in the front was a photo of a German registered Rockster, with silver stripes and wheels. Looked really nice, didn't know if it was a production model or not.

I have seen a picture of one too and I don't remember if it was here or on ebay.
I believe it is a Euro thing and also think it's an 80th anniversary edition.
It's pretty sharp. I have thought about getting those stripes for my black roadster but didn't think they would be available here in the states.
Let me know if anyone finds them.

It was a Europe only (ie not UK) colour scheme for (IIRC) the last year or two of manufacture.

Mate of mine in Switzerland has one - he occasionally visits this forum.

Black and Siver Rockster, I found the pictures whilst doing a garage cleanup. Refer to 2005 BMW Motorad Range catalogue.

I've seen a black/silver one for sale here in Holland, and must say it looks a bit tame.

The other one is from a Belgian BMW-dealer, who has done some very interesting bike rebuilds:

By the way; if you are thinking of putting those stickers to your bike: they are expensive as hell !

I really wanted this colour, but as riceburner said, not available in the UK so settled for a Edition 80.

Here is a high resolution image...

Wow, the ferro valve covers look REALLY out of place on that one.

Mine are now black.
