Wudo fairing

Post by mkatz »

To my eyes, the Wudo is more visually appealing. I'd enjoy hearing form someone who has installed the fairing with respect to fit and finish, and with respect to ride qualities.

The Wüdo suits the lines of the bike better. I like the way it follows the lines of the tank. The Wünderlich one has more retro appeal and looks a lot like the small fairings that used to be on the old boxers like the R90S.
Personally I like the R naked but would say the Wüdo fairing would look the most in place on the R.

I read a post in the BMW MOA forum (thanks, Mr. Google) where someone had picked up a Wudo fairing at Bob's BMW.

How about somebody calling them and see if they're a dealer. Maybe we could get a group buy price. I like the Wudo better than the Wunderlich as well.

I went to the "dealer finder" on their site...

country name address e-Mail/internet/phone/fax
Amerika/USA: in Vorbereitung

(That means "in preparation.")

Wudo fairing cost

Post by Handsome Jim »

I have been in contacr with Christipher Salttman at Wudo. The cost of the dingle fairing is 334.45 Euros and getting it color matched is another
145.69 Euros. As of today the conversion rate is 1 Euro = $1.4655 US dollars. A painted fairing is about $703.65 plus shipping.

According to their website the price exclusive of VAT is €343.10.
Looks like prices are going up.
If you have a firm quote from Mr. Saltmann, I'd say jump on it.

Did they thell you how much shipping would be?

I am going to have to get quite a discount from 703.65 to be able to begin thinking about one of those pretty things.

I just got a reply from them myself and the price is 335 euro unpainted.
Havent heard back from wunderich yet.

Sure is a lot of money for a peice of plastic. I'm wondering if we organize a group buy what sort of discount we might get. It would ba lots cheaper to have it painted localy. I would bite the bulet if I could have it dilivered for $400 to $450.

What you guys think???

I'd be interested if we could get a deal like that. Of course, $400 sounds better to me. :D Let me know if they bite.

I'v sent them an email asking for thair best price on a group buy.
See what he says.
I'm probably gona bite the bulet and get one one way or the other, but will have it painted localy for half the price.

I also want one of those CF belly pans which will probably be another gazilion $$$.

I've been holding out for the Wudo myself. If the group buy thing is an option and the discount is right, count me in.

Well guys, got back a reply and it's not too promising...5% discount is all he's giving. Thing is not evan primered but it does come with all mounting hardware and windscreeen....God I should hope so.

I think that Givi looks good enough for me especialy at 1/3 of the money.
Thanks for bringing it up guys.
