Front axle removal tip

Post by NeilS »

I just discovered that my Craftsman 13/16" 3/8-drive spark plug socket (Sears P/N 43325) has a hex on the back that perfectly fits the recess on the R12R's front axle. Just remove the rubber insert, insert an extension from the "wrong" side, and, presto, a zero-cost axle removal tool.

I read this and walked straight out to the garge. Yup!.. sho'nuff does work!

Thanks for the tip, I'll be picking up a spare socket for my RR traveling tool kit soon.
