Whent to my friendly dealer Sat. with checkbook in hand as I had looked at the black 08 R1200R the previous week. What I had failed to notice was the options did not include ESA which I have now on my K1200S and want on the R. No problem, we'll see what's in NJ warehouse. Rats, system is down. Two hours later same thing. With no way to check I'll have to wait till Tues, closed on Mon; to see if what I want is in stock somewhere or will have to order. Either way an 08 R1200R will be in the garage sooner or later. Rather sooner because the weather in New England is just perfect.
I know, that would be a heavy burden to bear. I would expect a phone call today to say that my new R is 48 hrs. away from being in my garage. That's if there is one in NJ.
Twin City BMW in Savoy, IL had one 3 weeks ago when I was over there for my breakin service. They had just finished assembling it the Friday before, FWIW
It appears to me that there are no changes including the seat as the dealer has an 07 sitting right next to the 08. Dealer says no change as well, not even colors.
