Saturday morning's R is now mine!

Post by nonskid »

I just had to call the guy today and tell him I wanted the bike. I was very impressed by the way that thing rode and its condition. ITS GOT: city bags, 2 wind screens, 15,000 mi., 12K service done, new tires, a BMW cover (for the dreaded winter storage), self canceling signals, no scratches or dents, maintenance CD (I hope that's interesting to watch), tall front seat. I sent him a deposit today after I talked to him. Will pick it up this week or next. I'm looking forward to some great rides. Oh and its SHINY BLACK! :D

Congratulations on the bike. I know you will enjoy it. Some will say that black is the fastest color for these bikes. (ah - I see DJ already beat me to it).

You will probably find this website even more helpful than the maintenance CD you received. ('course, if you benefit from this website, then it is only proper that you become a paying member, if you have not done so already)

Welcome to the "owners group".

I have a black 02 and can say that after having many bikes over the last 25 or so years, this is the best one I've ever had. It flat does it all and does it all well. You won't be disappointed. I've toyed with getting a new bike, but am afraid I won't like the new one as well as my Beakster. Ah, such is life!!

Is this a kit?? I can't understand how my BMW doesn't do this. Can't tell you how many times I've honked my horn tried to disengage my left blinker.

Welcome aboard and enjoy your new mount......

Black is a beautiful color, however it is well documented that Atlanta Blue is the fastest color......I was able to get mine to 96 mph in first gear and then my wife woke me up complaining that I was snoring too loud.

Get yourself a Kisan SignalMinder. Three-stage self-canceling, canceling with either turn signal activation button, rapid blinking if you hold a button down, and my personal favorite: running lights.
