Remus Powercone -vs- center stand

Post by motorradguy »

Interested in maybe swapping out the stock can to the Remus Powercone and was wondering: 1. Does anyone have it on their R1200R and thoughts on it and 2. Can you still use the center stand since the weld plate that recieves the stand bumper attaches to the stock can pipe?

Thank you

I have the Powercone in stainless and like it a lot - still very quiet, just adds some character to the exhaust note. The connector pipe that comes with the Powercone has a tab on it for the center stand bumper and all works great. Easy to install and works well with the stand.

Thanks Fly! Just the bit of info I needed. That is really cool. On other bikes I've owner, the aftermarket cans usually didn't have the tab so off the ceter stand went....

The Remus system is well designed and there is no need to remove the center stand.

Yep, with the exception that mine is the stainless powercone. Also mine seems to be a little more upswept but may just be the angle that this pic is taken at.

I prefer the look of the Remus Revolution in black satin.

The powercone looks a bit skinny on the RR I think.

Of course, I have neither so can't really diss anyone elses choices

The connector pipe for the Revolution also has a tab welded on to it for the center stand so either would be fine.
