'05 R1150R vs '07 R1200RT Dry Weight?
Simple, dumb quesiton toninght: What is the dry weight of an '07 R1200RT? Powersports Network says 505 lbs Dry. This website also says 514lbs for an R1150R w/ABS. I've ridden an RT before and I'd love to know how BMW made a full blown touring rig 9 lbs lighter than my roadster. Just curious. Thanks and ride safe.

According to these folks, who are all-knowing,
http://www.bmbikes.co.uk/bmwmodels.htm,
The R1150R comes in at 480 lbs. dry, 524 wet, which is still very light in this displacement range.
But, the R1200R specs out at 435 lbs dry, 490 wet, or 34 lbs wet, 45 dry lighter.
The R1150RT shows as 561 dry, 614 wet, and the R1200RT, 503 dry, 570 wet.
Pretty significant, but all still very light overall in their class.
