looking for a headlight
I'm looking for a rockster headlight for my roadster, if anyone knows how I can get one (preferably cheap) please let me know thanks
The best way to solve a problem is to destroy its source
I need a new one as well!
Mine burst during my excusion on the track... We had to tape all glass and plastic parts of reflectors etc. before we could enter the circuit. This in order to prevent glass falling on the track in case of a crash. That way any broken pieces stay stuck together. I did not crash but headlight got overheated after covering it with black duck tape and it cracked (yes, I know, I should have unplugged the cord
) .
List prices at dealerships in Holland are about EUR 219... I noticed that US has better online pricing. Around US$187 was the best I could find. Anyone better idea's?

It's only a guess but I don't think it will work
The Rockster/GS have a different fork and triple clamp to the Roadster.
It might work but may be a much bigger job than you expect.

Good point DJ Downunder. Better double check. But I think that the headlights are the same. At least, if you look at websites where they show the drawings and part numbers, it appears as if they are the same.
Another question for you guys: what about the vibrations of the head lamp unit? I noticed that mine is wobbling quite a lot while driving. Other bikes seem not have such big of a problem. Everything seems to be mounted correctly. Are you experiencing the same?

On the Rockster the headlights are ruber mounted and yes, they vibrate about a lot.m@rco wrote:Good point DJ Downunder. Better double check. But I think that the headlights are the same. Don't worry about it, it's built to do that and it doesn't affect the light spill onto the road at all.

I seriously wouldn't bother - the Rockster full beam is pathetic (MUCH worse than that on the Roadster - I've ridden both at night), and the dip beam is about equal. There's definitely no benefit in terms of light output.Greybeard wrote:Thought I'd bring this back up to see how you made out?
I'm casting about for different headlight on my roadster as well and this is an option to consider.
