need help to install stock muffler while using staintune y

Post by lombo »

two years ago I pulled my cat converter and muffler and replaced it with a staintune system. I'm using hard bags so the muffler sits low.

I'm wanting to re install only the stock muffler how can I do this while using the staintune y.

Last night I pulled the staintune and tried to slip on the stock muffler I cannot get it align to the bracket,

A "Y" pipe and the stock muffler makes a polite and very pleasant big engine sound that never gets annoying.

It's kind of a statement of the obvious, but, you need to make a sturdy support bracket to connect the muffler to the old mounting point. Adapter kits, if available, are usually way too expensive for what they are.
