Chris,

I went from a XL250 to the R1150R. It's heavy when stopped. Pay attention when stopping that you have a good place to stop, loose gravel, oil, even small holes may become a major problem. Otherwise enjoy and ride safe. Start on as many backroads as possible and don't be a squid.

What a bummer. When you watch the tv you just think how is that possible? This tells you how close to the edge they are.

The signal minder with the running lights seems to work very nice. At dusk I notice it on the bike.

Re: ya' know...

As for a knee-dragging pic... Here ya' go! Dallara Don't we have tell tales on the ends of our pegs? If not what are those things? Do you hear or feel them, (not that I ever will)? I have no problem accelerating out of a corner but trust me I'm not driving hard into one and dragging a knee. Those 6...

Mac is great RC pilot and also a good normal pilot. I got a chance to fly with him in his Cub a couple of years ago.

Re: Risking a Repeat

Are you a hottie? Not a come on, but I've realized that I am a hot natured person - core temp gets up and stays up. Kck the covers off in dead winter, keep the thermo stat at 60 F for a house wide temp of 62-65F. So for my riding below 40F, I am careful of layers. Especially the ones that stay unde...

It snowed last night in Chicago but got to 45F and I was able to go for a short ride this afternoon. Had to be careful around corners for left over ice, gravel and piles of salt. Drove by the Union Railroad Museum, http://www.irm.org/ Stopped for a picture of the R. http://www.geocities.com/massettf...

OK, I didn't listen to anyone and bought the Aerostich Wind Triangle.

Actually no time to shop other than online and we are not talking about huge money.

Got it tonight, looks and feels great. I will try it out in the next couple of days and let you know how it works.

Re: Another variation

I've got another variation on the theme ... Get lazy because you're only going a half-mile up backstreets to buy a couple of items at the local supermarket. Decide there's no need to get into proper bikin' gear because you're only gonna be gone five minutes anyway. Wear your timberland loafers inst...

It snowed in Chicago last night. I was out until dark and found my limit with the sun down at about 32F. I could go for 30 minutes like that at speed but not much longer. I ordered a neck guard and I will try it out this weekend if it does not snow anymore. I don't mind the cold, it's the numb thing...
