It's impossible to determine which goes to which cylinder. Either you guess correctly, and never have to worry about your QD's again, or you guess incorrectly, and you'll blow up, and never have to worry about your QD's again. Win - win situation, right?

Transmission

Slightly used, may need some TLC. First $3000 takes it. Price negotiable.
Also will consider trades for Vespa / mountain bike.

Thanks for the info, gentlemen.

I cant understand why anyone would treat a fine machine like that.
-Because it's fun. And that's why I ride. It'll be a few weeks until I save up the $$ to take it to the dealer. We'll see how much fun it is then. :?

transmission failure?

While buzzing down the road the other day, I decided that I needed a little excitement, so I grabbed a handful of throttle and clutch, and ripped a gnarly wheelie, like I had done a thousand times before. This time, there was a difference. The bike came down pretty fast. And I realized that I had en...

Well, it doesn't really matter now, as i have replaced the original QD's with the same cheap plastic QD's given to me by another board member. I was just wondering about the warranty date issue. And Jeff, the recall was for an inspection of the QD's, per the service guy at my local BMW shop. And onl...

Original purchase date (Warranty's Birthday)

I recently had a problem with the fuel line quick-disconnects. (Thanks, Don) When I called the dealer and explained the problem, the service manager said that my bike was no longer under warranty. He said that according to the computers, I purchased my bike from Westchester BMW in NY on Sept 30, 200...

Good ol' quick-disconnects...

Well, the fuel-line quick-disconnect finally went out on me. Every time I activate the fuel pump, the bottom one starts pissin gas all over the place. I guess I'm gonna have to get it on a truck and have it taken to a dealership. Can I fix this myself with limited toolage? It certainly has to be rep...

Way too high. No one's going to pay that for a Rockster, given their used value, and the (un)likelihood of a major mechanical failure.
..Keep your fingers crossed.
