Here's that crazy lane-splitting video. That dude doesn't need coffee to wake up in the morning, just the ride to work is enough.

My power doesn't come directly from the horn, it is a fused hot lead directly off of the battery that runs to the relay for the aftermarket horns. rdsmith has a nice, easy add on as well. I'd avoid wiring to a keyed circuit and find an always on line so that you can mess with the gps and not have th...

I can't recommend any soft luggage, but with the ability to use the hard bags, why wouldn't you? They're about as durable as you can get, waterproof, and they couldn't be easier to mount and take off of the bike. If cost is an issue, watch the IBMWR Marketplace, the Buy/Sell section of this board an...

I just hooked up my Garmin 2610 on my 1100S. I was able to splice into a hot lead and ground that go to the relay for my dual Fiamm horns. Nice 'n' easy since it's right up front and it's already got an inline fuse right off of the battery. It's got power all the time so I can mess with it while I'm...

My 1100S does the same thing with the starter, both signals go into warp mode, similar to if you install LEDs without a resistor, and back to normal, and the pinion seal was just replaced for the second time. The bike has 23,000 miles and I just hit the 3 year mark in January. The signals couldn't b...

2 Navigation systems for Christmas
It's funny that you posted that pic, Boxer. I was looking for a navigation system to help my dad out. He's in his 80's and not very technically savvy (his VCR, which he still thinks is very modern technology, has been blinking 12:00 for years), so I decided to go with something a bit more his speed....

I just got the Garmin 2610 at Costco for $499. Pretty good deal for a brand new unit. Yeah, I know it's last year's model, but what can I say, I'm stuck in the past (actually I just don't feel like dumping more $$$ into an electronic map/electronic device media center. I don't really need all the wh...
