Re: Beemerboneyard fuel line question

Thank you guys! I sent an email to BBY asking them to verify what the "r" rating was for the hose I purchased.

Beemerboneyard fuel line question

I apologize if this was previously addressed. I scoured the posts and didn't see a difinitive answer on the question, so here we go--Got a 2004 with 5,600 miles on it currently (just bought it a few months back). Ordered the chrome quick disconnects from BBY and decided that I would go ahead and rep...

Re: Price check please

Reference point for you: Bought a 2004 r1150r w/abs with 5,200 miles, system cases, givi top case, full windshield and flawless condition for $5900. It was an Ebay auction and I believe I got a great deal.

Re: 6,000 mile service advice

Thank you guys. I'm going to research the site to educate myself on all the tips/tricks and then take my brother's friend up on his offer. Hopefully with this approach I'll be savy enough to know if the guy really understands the bike or if he is just claiming to have expertise. Thank you again for ...

6,000 mile service advice

All, I recently purchased my first BMW bike, 2004 r1150r w/abs. The bike had approximately 5,600 miles when purchased a few weeks ago. I've been riding with no issues/complaints and I'm now getting close to 6K. My brother has a friend who is an aircraft mechanic and currently owns 4 BMW bikes. He of...

Re: Luggage-Givi-top case

I just purchased a 2004 r1150r with ABS. It had a Givi Monokey V46 installed when I bought it. I haven't had a lot of time with the case, but what little time I have, I really like it. Store my helmet and gloves in it and use it to haul heavy items when I'm concerned with side loading the bike in th...

Any experienced wrenchers in Memphis, TN?

All, New to BMW bikes and looking for an experienced wrencher in Memphis to possibly show me the maintenance ropes. I'm mechanically inclined and am confident I can do many things based on maintenance items I've read here on the forum, but it's hard to beat experience. Look forward to hearing from a...

Re: Rules of thumb for estimating ft/lbs of force?

I bought the click type torque wrench at Lowes----Kobalt. After reading many torque wrench comments I was concerned with accuracy. My brother is an aircraft mechanic at FedEx and he took my wrench in immediately after I purchased it to have it certified. It was dead accurate on all tests they perfor...

Newbie question - Compilation of information?

Hey everyone, I've been on the site hard for a few days researching all the posts prior to purchasing a 2004 R1150R today. This bike has a little over 5,000 miles & ABS. I'm a little overwhelmed with all the information available on this site! Kudos to everyone for such a great community. As I a...
