Re: Ok to adjust valves with out syncing throttle bodies
today's the day. I am adjusting the valves and syncing the throttle bodies. The left side valves where all loose as could be. The right side is great no adjustment needed. Hmm , doubting my methods, but intakes feel the same and exhaust feel the same. Ok time to move on the the throttle bodies.

Re: Ok to adjust valves with out syncing throttle bodies
Ok, so I am trying to make manometer. I have the tubing and everything put together. The question is how do I get the 2 stroke oil to settle and all the air bubbles to come out.

Ok to adjust valves with out syncing throttle bodies
Just a quick question. The valves on my 04 are starting to get pretty loud on the left side. I replaced the cam tensioner thinking this was the noise. I don't have the money to purchase a twinmax yet. So would it hurt to adjust the valves without syncing the throttle bodies? If it helps I am at 1025...

Re: New to BMW - should i buy a 2004 r1150r
I would do some research and see what the prices are like in your area. I just paid $6k for 04 rockster, but it only had 7k miles. Seemed reasonable to me for the miles.

Re: Smoke Turn Signal lenses
Yes, but they list the 1150r on 2 different lenses. That is why I put the part number in the first post. They are 29.95 a set. (2 lenses and 2 yellow bulbs) Once you click on the lens, you have the option for clear or smoke. I am happy with them. They do have 2 small dimples from the mold along one ...

Re: 2004 Rockster
So I have been going over my new toy. Are these the stock disconnects? One side seems to be metal. Previous owner say he just had them changed not too long ago.

Re: Need Purchase Advice Please
Looks like there still 3 available in phoenix, would make a nice ride home. I bought mine 300 miles away, It was a nice ride (averaged 38mpg). I was a little worried after reading here in the forums. The bike is not that top heavy, I didn't feel like I was going to drop it at all. I can not place my...

Re: Need Purchase Advice Please
If it's any help I just purchased a 2004 rockster 7k miles. $6,000 ABS, factory hard bags, and brand new tires.
Take a look at the Phoenix, AZ Craigslist there were a couple of 04 Rocksters there around $5-6k

Owner has just put new tires on it and had 6k service done. Is there anything specific I should look for before making the purch...
