here is a link to a fix I did on my system cases. http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=557905 drilling out the rivets to fix the multi-box, then riveting it back in is not a big deal. Just takes a little time. The only thing is that none of the hardware stores like lowes home depot carry ...

Get it and ride it already! I pulled the trigger on an 03 last Sept, and loving it. For comparison, mine is a 2003 1150R, bought with 29K miles, system cases, bmw tank bag, gel pad in seat, and paid 4500 OTD in oklahoma.

On my 1150R's cases there are attachment points on the front of the bag and on the rear. They are on the inner half and I think they are best on that part and not on the lid. it was a short trip but I was loaded up. I had to go work at another station for the shift. The side hard cases work great. The bmw tank bag works great too. My duffel bag was clipped to the bike with its shoulder strap. When I get a little money together I am going to replace the eddie bauer duffel...

for me it was with the bike on the side stand and trying to squeeze the bike between the wall and a plastic shelving thing in my garage. Well, standing on the left side of the bike I lost it, and it tipped over to the right side against the shelving. Luckily no damage, just a small scuff. Never had ...
