Re: Quick action throttle?
i was thinking something similar, it you had a friend with a lathe you could easily create a new distro block wheel where the input wheel is smaller than the one going to the two TBs

vac port plugs
I recently had to order a large set of high temp silicone plugs to plug the TB vac ports since i ditched the charcoal can. if anyone needs a pair i would be happy to sell you a pair. Email/pm me if you are interested.

Re: new clutch
I really like it, smooth but very strong engagement. if i had to do it over i wouldn't have upgraded the diaphragm spring, the material is so good its just not needed. yea clutchmasters did everything. it might be even cheaper if you don't get a sprung center, i'm not sure if it really made all that...

Re: Tires and Knee Pads
for the knee pads use 3M VHB double sided tape. its expensive but is made for sticking things to vehicles. if you can't find it at a auto body supply place or pep boys, try mcmaster.com

Re: Clutch relining source
I had my clutch done by them, and am very happy with the results. from my understanding you usually replace the pressure plates with the disk. clutchmasters resurfaced both pressure plates and made the new disc with a sprung center so its a little smoother. i posted pics of the setup if you are inte...

Re: Newbie- Adjusting ride height on 2001 R1100R
I'm 6'3, get yourself a set of Vario foot pegs, it really helps. other than that i had bill mayer customs make a much taller seat which also helped. the other thing that you can do is get a shorter link of a r1100gs, it will raise the back up a bit and its cheap.

Re: Broken speedometer
an easy way to locate the problem is to disconnect the speedo cable form the speedo and give the front wheel a spin, if you can see the cable head (square part) move the cable is fine. also the inner moving part sticks out of the jacket a bit, just make sure that if something did snap nothing is lef...

new clutch
So after disassembling and reassembling the bike in the process of painting and repairing things my clutch started slipping, so i got to do it again... The old disk with 38k was shot, not wanting to have to do this again i coated the input shaft and throwout rod with moly dry film spray and i had cl...

Re: R1100R Fuel Overflow
one line is the spill over from the gas cap the other is the breather line. if either line or connection near the tank plate are compromised that could cause it. the other causes could be that the gas cap seal are bad and fuel is sloshing out. another cause could be that you are overfilling the bike...

Re: Fork Paint?
On my other bike i removed the reflectors and completely wrapped the fork legs in 3M or nikkolite reflective vinyl (im my case black). protects the fork legs and acts as a reflector w/o looking like a ugly reflector
