I bought the same lowering kit for my 2001 R1100R. Same problem. I wear a size 12 boot. I can't get my foot between the peg and shift arm. I didn't want to spend the additional money for the shifter extension. So, I've got the lowering kit for sale.

I should have added that the cutting board becomes the universal mounting bracket. They're cheap at Wal-Mart.

Try to visualize using a thick polyethylene cutting board. Cut it to fit your case and BMW luggage rack. Drill holes to fit the luggage rack and the case. Spray paint it black and bolt it in position.
