I've got about 1600kms (1000 miles) on my 06 R1150R and is already overdue for the first service, my dealer is about 2 hours away and will have to put on another 250kms to get the bike there, plus it will be another 2 weeks till I have a day off to take it in. Should I stop riding it now? How far is...

Trailering a R1150R

On occasion it will be necessary for me to trailer my new R1150 R, I have proper Pingel tie downs and wheel chocks in an enclosed trailer. Because the front suspension is different from any other bike I've had I was wondering if there is anything I need to do different than what I've done in the pas...

Congrats, but don't borrow the Rockster again, you may suffer buyer's remorse when the R shows up. Don't want to kick yourself for not getting the Rockster    I really liked the Rockster, grabbed a lot of attention everywhere I went, but being an older dude in my mid 40's I figured t...

Hi guys, the R1150R Brochure has a graph that shows the difference between 6th and overdrive 6th. The overdrive shows 3000rpm @ 100kph and the regular 6th shows 3500rpm @ 100kph. I find this to be spot on the money to the Rockster that I had from the dealership for the day.

Gear Ratio Rockster vs R

Local dealer has loaned me an 04 Rockster overnight to try out and I find I'm always looking for another gear, is the final gear ratio on a Rockster different than the standard R1150R? Also I think I'm too hunched over on the Rockster and now leaning towards a R.

06 R1150R's are available in Canada as far as I know, one dealer said he had an 06 with some new paint scheme. There are some 05's around with incentives
