Anyone drop/crash their R12R whilst with BMW cases fitted?

I would point out that they can be repaired and repainted. I totally trashed a set when my bike tumbled about 150 feet down the road, side over side, without me. The dealer ordered the parts that were broken and reassembled them. They then went to a motorcycle paint shop where the outer clam shells were sanded smooth and painted gloss black. When it was all over and done with they showed scratches on the inner clamshells that sat next to the bike but they were beautiful otherwise. The total bill though was nearly as much as a new set though nearly half of that was for painting. If I had it to do over again, I'd fix them and wouldn't repaint them.
