I've just returned from a great week in the Lake District. OK, there was no bike on this trip so I will give my link to the photos if you wish to have a browse. Click on each image and request the original size for the best effects.

Nice job Mike,
Q. DSo you know where the namne 'Dodd' comes from? (Clue there are a lot of Dodd's in the Lake District....
The name Dodd is used to describe a hill shaped like a womens - errrr - 'booby' - you will see a lot of Dodd's to the east of Keswick..
I love the Lake's - I think I must have hiked all the peaks over 3k over the years..

Fantastic. I also remember staying at Ambleside
and travelling through the lake district in 91.
Continued up through Scotland and across to Ireland.
I spent 3 years in England 89-91 working and travelling
and wish i had spent more time up north and Scotland.
It is on the list to revisit.
loved hiking this area and amazed at the
lack of trees on those huge hills.

Great pictures.
My memory of The Lakes District goes back to '93. 4 of us were boating on Lake Windermere and out of nowhere a fighter jet flew just above us...the noise was magnificent, and in the blink of an eye he was a dot in the distance. I wish I could've got his rego number to report him ...scared the living daylights out of all of us
Same thing happened up in the highlands heading towards Glencoe.
