New Fairing !

BMW Owners News (Page 112) has a news release from Hannigan Motorcycle Fairings indicating they are building R1200R fairings now.

Unfortunately, the photo is obviously not an R1200R in the release, so no good idea of how it will look.

Unfortunately the website is not showing any listings for the R1200R as yet. Bad marketing goof guys!

It will be interesting to see one on an R12R, but I don't like the look on the older bikes. It looks so out of place with the naked rear part of the bike. The Scout looks significantly better IMO.

The Hannigan fairing is a little out dated to say the least. It's been around over 20 years, things have changed. I had the misfortune to ride a Guzzi with a Hannigan ST fairing in a mediun cross wind, it was not a good feeling.

I don't mind being moved over a foot or two in a crosswind, but with all that body work up high it seemed the wind was trying to slam me into the road. And it was heavy.

Feh. If I wanted a fairing I would have bought an RT.

The fairings look really old and the home page has got to be the worst I've seen in ten years. However I like the eighties bikes. But it has to be a classic. Like the Suzuki Katana. This is just awfull.

If you want a bike with fairings why not buy a proper sportsbike? Or at least an R1200S. I know I would, if I had the money.

Ditto! Feh indeed. One of the beauties of the Roadster is my head is in clear air and not buffetted around. My Schuburth Concept C2 is wonderfully quiet in clear air.
