Dimensions of a Hepco & Becker Journey TC40 topcase?

Hello,
Does anyone know the interior dimensions of a Hepco & Becker Journey TC40 topcase? I have an aluminum hardside briefcase that is 18.5" Wide x 14.5" tall x 5" Thick that I WANT to be able to store in the topcase.
Alternate suggestions are welcome. I have the BMW system cases already. I'd like to stay within the price range of the Hepco rack and topcase (650.632 01 01 $111.10 + topcase $157.00)

17" width X 12" deep X 10" height
My Shoei Multitech XL fits perfectly inside.

I have a TC50 top case with the mounting rack attached to the OEM BMW luggage rack risers. It's approximately 19"Wx15"Dx12"H inside. It's for sale since I'm selling my 1150R. I live near Windsor, PM me if you need any more info.

I just mounted the TC50. The cases all taper, so exact dimensions are hard to figure, but the flat bottom measures a curving 15-17" x 12"; at the top of the main compartment (not including the lid), the measurement flares to 21" (at the widest) x 13.25". Since your briefcase is perfectly rectangular, you'll need to allow for the smaller measurements, and the 13.25" width of the H-B means your case won't even fit in the TC50, much less the TC40.
I'm having the same problem with photo cases. I want to buy a Lowepro CompuTrekker AW Plus because it will allow me to carry a full-size 17" laptop plus a large 300mm f/2.8 tele along with all the rest of my gear. Unfortunately, the Plus is about an inch too long in both dimensions, so I'll have to downsize to the regular CompuTrekker AW, which only takes a 15" laptop and will seriously crowd the 300mm lens to the point where I'll have to start making priority decisions about which gear to leave behind. I, of course, have the usual paranoia which insists that the lens I need for the perfect shot will be precisely the one I'm not carrying.

Thanks BoiseBeemer, sounds like I'm SOL using the hard aluminum case. I'll have to stick to the soft laptop cases.

BTW, the TC50 doesn't look as large as you might think. IMO, it's a nice, proportional fit to the bike and looks good with the BMW sidecases. I was afraid it might look oversized, but not so. It's probably because it gets quite a bit of its volume from height rather than width. Still wide enough that both my wife and I could get our Shoei RF-1000s in it together. When I checked at the local dealer, I had trouble squeezing two helmets into a Givi 52 because the latch mechanism intruded too much into the main compartment. I certainly like the unobtrusive rack mount better than the extravagant mounting system on the Givi.

Were you aware that Pelican makes a purpose build, bullet proof lap-top case ? You might consider adapting it to the luggage rack. It's not a bad looking piece when you're thinking luggage rather then briefcase. The 1550 series would swallow your briefcase, but you'd have to make brackets for it.
