Recalls and Service Bulletins

Post by Ivan Koloff »

Anyway to check for recalls or service bulletins without contacting the dealership? Anyone know of a website to check? Thanks

recalls

Post by Croc »

Hi SJ

I have checked the site you have listed and can only find one recall for the 2003 R. However, I have had one for the brakes (about 6-9 months ago) - a full test was done on the operation and I was given a computer print-out telling me all about how I ride (big brother is watching!!  ) and last week went back for a further 2 recalls. One was for the cable routing to the yoke - much discussed in this forum and the other was for the fuel lines leaking. Some parts were replaced.

You're right, there was a recall to inspect the wiring around the headpost for overtightened cable ties crimping the wiring and I think they provide chafing guards around the headpost so insulation wouldn't be rubbed off the wire there. I also seem to remember a recall invovling rerouting the O2 sensor wire, but I never had that done...anyone else get that done?
