new owner signing in

Hi all,
as of last thursday im now the proud owner of a '53 plate Rockster.
Fell in love with it and had to have it (wouldnt be so bad but id only changed my bike 1 1/2 months before).
Anyway having ridden it for afew days ive got to say, I just love it! brilliant handling massive torque good looks, nuff said really.
Anyway, roll on the summer, i ride it every day anyway.

she's matt black and orange, not everyones cup of tea but it does it for me.

a-ha ... so you have a Tiger Stripe then ... the best colour!!!
them lime green and the posh "limited edition" are 5 mph slower by default
meets - depends ... if you live near John o' Groats ... unlikely ... be a bit more specific where you live please

I for one have not heard of a Rockster/R1150R meeting around South East/South/South West of UK. Which of course does not mean there is none.
I think for rideout announcements it would be better to post on the R1150R side as the vast majority of riders are reading both.
I do not want to play prophet ... but I do not see anything happening before April. Do not get me wrong but my idea (I do not think I am alone here) of good time during the winter does not involve long-distance touring on a naked bike ... never mind the acres of GoreTex in my wardrobe. Commuting for half an hour is another thing altogether ...

Welcome to the site... I'm the proud owner of tiger stripe Rockster, best bike I've ever owned...

Ello.
I think we had a Rockster meet a couple of years ago at Bury Hill, near Arundel (W.Sussex). Ironically I didn't attend even though I only live 3 miles away from the place!
