System Cases vs. Jesse's

Post by jbuzbee »

Well, I've decided to finally put hard bags on the R. I see that Jesse now makes them for our bikes but there isn't a very good picture on the site:

Anyone here have Jesse's on their R care to share a pic??

I've been through two hard-rains now with my Systems in place. No leakage. I've heard from Jesse owners(ALL with the GS) that they will, and DO, leak.

Another thing I appreciate is that Systems are quick-on, and off, as the mood suits. I think Jesse's take a minute, plus there's no 'handle' to carry them like luggage.

There were some pictures on here somewhere of a lady with a blue 1150R, mostly as her bike has a Parabellum scout fairing too. I've seen a link to the same bike somewhere on ADVrider board too - sorry I can't be more specific!

Never seen the Odessey cases in the flesh, but that's big money for boxes IMO. I appreciate the capacity is larger, but if you're not carrying that much around then BMW cases via eBay would be half the price?

From a styling perspective, Jesse luggage just doesn't look right on the R. It's better suited to the GS.
