I was promised delivery of a black one with white stripes, ESA etc this saturday the 23 of sept, Now this date is shakey. Any other one got their bike? Or what delivery date is promised to you? This should be the first R1200R delivered in Sweden.
best wishes
/Rune (9000 km on the most loved 12gsadv and 560 km on F800S, this year. Will end the relation with the F800S now )

Gonna have a showdown in Sweden.
Don't you guys go rolling on the floor at the dealer now
I bought mine 600 km away in the north of Sweden. Got a highley trusteable dealer. I can order without discussing price. I know he gets me a better price than any other dealer. I check this thing every 3 - 5 years.
Will have it exactly as I wish. ESA, computer, speedster screen, white indicators, and an akrapovic in 6 - 8 weeks.
Only problem is that it is probably delivered with contiattack and that tire lasted 5500 km when delivered on the F800S. The metal cord was shineing through. Top quality on grip thou!
wished it had a bit more of the rockster attitude!

Did the give you any reason as to why the delivery might be delayed?
No, I have seen the initial mail communication with bmw where they promised this bike the week after the intro in Sweden. I saw thair mail where they told that thay didn't know when it should arrive. Any day!!??!!
When I ordered 2 weeks ago, they had this one for fast delivery and a black one without stripes in end of september.
<native_langue> ( from importers email communication with gross prices in Sweden. I think one € is about 9.20 SEK)
Efter introduktion den 16:e sept kan vi leverera ut nedan till din kund:
We should be seeing at least one black R1200R in Austin during the next couple of days, according to JC at Lone Star BMW. Loaded with everything but ASC. I didn't ask about price, but in Dallas I'm told they will have a Cristal Gray Metallic roadster similarly outfitted for $15,175 in a couple of days. I can't wait to see one, even if I have to wait for my bare-bones bike.
After my calls this morning, I got curious about what my local dealer was getting in and how much they wanted for it. Apparently all of the first ones will be pretty well loaded with options. I learned a black R1200R is scheduled for delivery in mid-October with ABS, heated grips, center stand and on-board computer. I did a few calculations and decided to go for it. $14,695. I don't really want or need the on-board computer, but my friends have convinced me that ABS is a good -- if expensive -- idea. So I should be back on a Beemer by Columbus Day. I'm counting the days.
