Hello everyone.

After a twenty year layoff from riding, I decided to get back on the horse. I completed a MSF class earlier this summer and spent the rest of the summer trying to decide what I should purchase. My last bike, a 1983 Honda CB1100F, became a couch, loveseat, and coffee table when my wife and I got married in 1986. Not that my wife wanted me to sell the bike, we just needed some furniture.

After reading multiple message boards, reviews, etc., I decided on the R1150. I test rode a 2002 but it didn't fit as well as I would have liked. I then got a call about a 2005 with 367 miles, touring screen, Barbax, lowered pegs, system cases, heated grips, and engine guards. I test rode it yesterday and purchased it fifty minutes later. I can't seem to get this smile off my face :D

I look forward to a long and happy relationship with the bike!

Welcome. Your decision reflects on your character, good taste and probable behavior as you ride and enjoy the cycle. If ever able, join any of the group rides and meet the Roadsterista.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

The bike is silver/grey. I'm not sure of the "official" color name. Glad to post a photo or two but I have discovered that a simple cut and paste doesn't work. Any tips on how to post photos? Does it need to originate at a website? thanks

The way I learned to attach a photo is by first putting the photo on a web site (our company has our own so I got the IT guys to do it for me!). Then type,
