Hey Everyone! I did a very brave but stupid move yesterday. I ordered the system cases for my bike and waited to tell my wife about it until after I had come home from work. She didn't even blink an eye!

Not only was I shocked but she asked me if I got a good deal. I told her that I orded them from Chicago at a slight discount and she was even excited for me. Later, she confessed that she had also made a pricey purchase yesterday so she said we were even. Mine cost a lot more but I am not going to argue.

I am riding out near Chicago for a conference and would like to get somesort of cruise control. I have done the research with the archives but I would like to hear about some recent reports on your throttlemeister or other cruise control.

I have heated grips and GS handgaurds so if you have them please chime in.

Might as well buy now while the fire is hot.

It is well made and looks stock. It works with hand guards. It is easy to engage/disengage.

I've been using a throttlemeister, which is essentially the same as a Bob's wrist rest. The only main difference is they rotate in opposite directions. Does what it's supposed to but by all means is not a 'cruise control'. It will still require minor throttle adjustments while riding, but worth it for long stints at constant speed (interstates).

Call BOB's BMW to see if they have them in stcok before you head up there if you want's Bob's.

I use a Throttle Rocker II. Not sure it is cruise control but allows you to relax your right hand, and its not expensive so you don't have to worry about the fury of the wife.

+1 for the Kaoko. Works well and you can hardly tell it's there. It is heavy duty, I've had no issues. Also, I think it was less expensive than some of the other options.

I have the throttlemeister large with the GS handguards. I ordered the large which is about 3/8" longer than the regular to compensate for were the GS handguards wrap over the weights. You will need the mounting kit for the GS w/handguards and heated grips (if so equipped) not the R. The throttlemeister rotates in the same direction as the throttle.

I have the throttlemeister and love it. The finish is great, and it works real well, easy to use. Very nice on the highway.


nova1150r, if you are going to be in Chicago you could always take a quick ride up to Milwaukee and pick up a throttlemeister factory direct.
