I have installed a Kisan Signal Minder in my 04 1150R.
I have a question about where to attach the red wire lead to keep the signal operating while the brakes are on. I do not want to play around with wiring when I do not know what I am looking for. Have you done this? Where and what color wire?

I removed the taillight housing and disconnected the leads untin I found the brake light wire. I attached the red wire directly to the post, then pushed the female lead over the unit. It worked well. When I have time I'll solder the wires together, MAYBE.

There is a bundle of wires under the fuse box. In that bundle there is a grey wire with a yellow stripe. Use the included crimp connector to "T" into that wire and then connector on the red wire from the SM into that.

Getting under the fuse box is a bit of hassle. There are 4 screws that hold it down. Take them out and the whole thing can me moved around but I didn't take it out completely. The little strip that holds the fuses can be pushed down through the box by spreading apart the tabs that hold it in on the underside. This helps to give you room to work as you lift the whole box up.

I snipped one of the ties that hold the wires together so I could re-route the gray wire with yellow stripe over to the opposite side. That let me put the signal minder in one of the empty slots on the left side of the fuse box.

Somewhere buried on this board is a thread that includes pictures. I'm going to try to find it and move it to the archives.

Here are my photos from that thread :

I tapped into the lead coming from the rear brake switch after checking that it was live when either the rear or front brake was engaged. Don't remember the wire color but it was easy to trace and was more accesible than the grey/green wire in the bundle under the fuse box.
I don't trust the mechanical splices so I simply carefully scraped off about 1/2 of insulation and soldered the SM to the wire, then wrapped in electrical tape/
