instrument lights

Might be a dumb question and its not really that important but....is it possible to change the speedo/tach/clock lighting color? I really liked the red lights my Guzzi had. Found the part numbers for the bulbs but it doesnt say what type they are to crossmatch. ideas?

I changed one of the bulbs on my R1150GS and I expect that the R1150R bulbs are the same. They are small !2V 1.2W T-5mm bulbs. They are a fairly standard bulb for instruments. I don;t know if thay are available in colour.

The link displays LED bulbs in blue, red, white and green. If the size of the bulb is the same as the GS (T-5mm), the top section shows these.

If you are successful in doing this, let us know. I am interested. My Audi has red instrument lights, and it is better for night time vision because it is less distracting.

The old trick used to be to paint a clear bulb with red nail polish. Should still work.
