I'm moving to NYC at the end of the month. Selling my German supercar, but keeping my German superbike! Does anyone have any practical advice for riding, parking and security in NYC? I'm planning on living in SoHo or the West Village.
I was up there last weekend and know there is at least one other tiger owner living in SoHo, you out there?
Anyone in NYC with Rockster advice?

Dedicated M/C parking. I've seen people from Rising Wolf at the International Motorcyle Show at the Javits Convention Center. They are
supposed to be very good, and kind of high end.
The pay garages where the attendants park your car don't normally allow motorcycles. But when I'm in midtown I use these:
Champion Parking betwenn 8th and 9th with entrances on 56th and 57th.
They let me park in a corner near the office. They also have a very clean, large bathroom that I use to strip off my gear and put my suit on. The staff are all native Spanish speakers and if you speak to them in espanol (as I do) you'll get primo treatment.
There is another one on 54th just off 6th, across the street from the Hilton. Also MC friendly, underground, and the guys let me park literally right next to where they sit. I've left my helmet/jacket on the seat with no probs.
If you're in the financial district, there is a group of parking spaces with meters at the foot of Wall Street ( I've left my bike there many times with no problems, as long as the space you're sharing has time on the meter. )
Good luck with the move. Let us know when you settle in
