A little help.

Well I did my first valve adjustment...pretty proud and excited. Now I see I must do a throttle body sync. It seems to be going over my head and no matter how much I read up, I am still leery. Is there anyone in the Denver Colorado or surrounding area that would be willing to help with the tool and first time. I notice all over the country the great BMW riders are helping others. Is it the same here in my area? Thanks I appreciate it and would look foward to meeting new people who share my new passion..........1150R. JIM

Not in CO but you are right to move cautiously...it's a relatively simple, yet perilous job. Mucking it up can cause worse performance than leaving it slightly off will.
Good luck finding the right helper. If not on this board try BMWST.com and/or ADVRider.com both have many good and helpful folks. An oilhead is an oilhead for these purposes.

Jim, where in Denver are you? I’ve done it 3 times, it’s really not very difficult once you’ve done it. If you’re still looking for some help email me.

Hey...I am in Castle Rock, and I plan on doing my valve adjustment and sync this weekend. Could I come watch the sync process...if you guys pick a time to meet?
Thanks,
Adam
