11 years ago I was hooked

In 1994 it all started when I bought my first bike. It was an 1986 Shadow and I loved that bike. I would ride it almost everyday to work, Graduate School, and then home. It was great! One day, a friend asked me if I would like to go with him to a British Road Ralley in Cincinnati and of course I couldn't turn that down. So off we went.
At this ralley, they were giving free rides
so I signed up and got my first taste of a BMW. I rode the 850r and loved every moment of it! Since I was in Grad. School there was no way I could afford to buy one, but I knew one day I would own a BMW.
I sold my Honda so we could use the money to help with a downpayment on our first house. Even though it was worth selling the bike I missed riding so much. Then my luck changed last year.
My wife saw how much I missed riding my bike so she told me I could get a bike.
That was it, off to the BMW shop. I got an black 1150R, heated grips, and ABS. It has been 8 years since my last bike and the 1150R is perfect for me. I LOVE IT!
I have learned one things when it comes to getting permission to buy accessories, I tell my wife it is "A Safety Issue" and she then allows me to get whatever I want. Thanks for all of the get message boards. You guys are great.
