Keeping That Shine

I am just getting back into riding with the purchase of my "new to me" 2002 R1150. I have had such good info provided to me from this forum I thought I would get some input on an easy way to keep up the shiny appearence of my R, short of a complete cleaning. I thought I had read in a previous thread about some type of spray on cleaner-polish, similar to a furniture polish, that worked great. What's the best way to go?

Mr Sheen furniture polish is great..but..sorry I don't think you can buy it in the US.

I've also discovered the cheap spray kitchen cleaner is great for a mild engine degrease.

My 02 RR looks like new after almost 5 yrs...I'm sure our good weather helps heaps.

It'a called Honda Spray Cleaner and Polish, available at any Honda dealer in two sizes - a bigger can runs about $5.95, and a smaller one packs well into a tank bag for carry-with use. I never leave home without it. Removes bugs, road grime, grease, dirt, etc. Works on all painted surfaces and works very well on windshields and helmet face shields.

A new Gander Mountain outdoors/sporting goods store opened near me recently, and I found it there also.

Griots Garage makes a product called Speed Shine. Spray on and wipe off. Great for bikes.

I also use speed shine from Griots. It's really good on all painted surfaces, along with alot of the other products they sell. Really nice for me is the fact they are right across from the BMW cycle dealer in Fife. You can get a catalog from them from their web site.

Good to hear from another local, Al, Griot's world headquarters is only about 10 miles from me. Good folks.
