Hi,

Just to let you know...

I've just fitted a Sebring Y-pipe+silencer onto my Rock.

Now it sounds better, and all pieces fit each other without any problems, so the whole install took me 1h..... (you don't need Monster Garage to do that

It's the beginning of the moto-season in Poland so I couldn't test the performance impact of this change yet ....

Take care

I'm interested to install the Y from Sebring-Remus.
Do you see a difference in power and torque since you have it?
Do you have some explosion if you give full gaz and you cut suddenly?

Yes, you will see more power and torque.

Yes, you will have explosions (backfiring) when you let off the throttle. Usually not on the throttle though. The backfiring can be eliminated by adjusting the air/fuel mixture. Your dealership or shop will have to put a gas analyzer into the exhaust pipe and read the exhaust readings then make adjustments there.

Hi, sorry for the late answer but I was on business trip in Las Vegas (so had to gamble a little instead of writing posts ;))))..

back to subject .. You may be surprised but I did noticed small increase in performance, but there is no backfiring at all !!! the only exception is if you are in neutral and pull the throttle to the red area and then immediately release it to the null position.. during "normal" driving conditions there is NO backfiring at all...
the biggest improvement of this mod is the SOUND !!! deep, low Boxer sound..

I just installed the Remus Y pipe with my Sebring muffler. Yuk!!! To buzzy not a great sound. So this weekend I was at a rally and the Maxmoto folks were there. I had them install the Remus carbon muffler and what a differnce over the Sebring.
If you do not mind the sound of the Sebring I have a used one w/ 200 miles on it and a new one in the box for sale. I'll take 180.00 for the used one and 225.00 for the new one.
