Bagster tank cover - Does anybody have pictures???

Does anyone have closeup high quality photos of fitted Bagster tank cover for Rockster (or R1150R)???
I have fitted it - but I am not 100% certain of the accuracy of the job.

I would appreciate any feedback on whether this cover affects the matte black finish on the gas tank. Most covers do not allow the paint to breath and sometimes it changes the paint colorization.
Maybe this is a good cover and will protect from UV rays. Just give me an update in a couple of months. I am seriously thinking about one of these for my Lime Rockster...Chugger

The cover protects the tank from the sun completely, but be aware that dirt and grit can get underneath, especially at the front. This isn't much of a problem though because the cover is very solid and doesn't shift about at all when fitted tightly.
Spray the tank with ACF-50 first before you fit the cover.

How did you acheive such a snug fit? Mine is all over the place in the front!
I was very impatient (yesterday, lunchbreak) with the two rear mounts so I have wrapped them around the bodywork while I believe they should go around the frame inside the bodywork.
The problem is the front - you have somehow put it between the tank and the oil cooler ducts. Also where did you exactly run the front ties around???

IIRC:
The central strap goes around the headstock (being careful not to trap any wiring/cables obviously).
The two frontal/side straps go up the 'inner-surface' of the tank, around the lugs on the tank where it fits onto the rubber mount on the frame, then up to the buckle
the rear straps go around the frame rails (or alternatively you can probably wrap them around the seat bracket - this is probably easier, but they'll get in the way if you keep anything (eg waterproofs) under the tank).
I can't be precise because currently I have the cover - but no bike to fit it to (bike was written off recently).

A Land Rover lost control in front of me and broadsided himself across my path. Couldn't avoid him cos the roads were slippery so decided to hit him direct after scrubbing as much speed as possible, rather than try to turn away and slide off (the road was greasy and wet) and more than likely smack my head against him at higher speed.
He lost control because he was cut-up by an estate car (station wagon) who buggered off.

Doubt I'll be getting a new BMW, I've realised that I've run up a credit debt that I can't afford, especially now I'm out of work so will have to deal with that before sorting a bike out.
One bit of good news though - my gear was insured through my BMW insurance cover and i should at least get £500 back, and very soon too because it's seperate from the actual bike payout (which is being delayed due to very slow operations from the shortfall or 'Gap' insurance people).
Baglux Tank Cover

Hi there,
This is for Riceburner really... Sorry to hear about the bike by the way mate, hope things work out.
I've got a Baglux tank cover on order, having had one on my Speed Triple and been more than impressed. I've head a few things re: the cover causing problems with the matt paint on the Rockster. Is that the case ??
I noticed in one of the previous postings you mention this ACF-xx stuff ( from memory ) which is worth spraying on the tank first. Is that easily purchased ??
For my Speed Triple I got some gaffer tape and taped-up the joins on the underside of the cover. Didn't notice any issues with scuffed tank, but not sure if matt paint is more likely to mark.
Appreciate a bit of advice... You experience any problems yourself ?
