Hallo toner87

Welcome Michael!
Harleys are more popular than BMWs here. However, the BMW, especially the R1150R, is a good bike for riders who want something between a Harley and a sport bike. It is good for touring, good for sport riding, good for commuting.
It's one bike that meets all my needs.

I´m glad you understand me. Actually it is my vocabulary which is wearing out due to lack of use (most Germans I meet in Mexico want to practice their Spanish, including a girl from Manheim which I`m dating).
Your Rockster is cool!!!! Completely different from any other BMW I have seen. One of my future proyects involve turning an R850 into a Café racer. I`m a big fan of 60´s and 70´s motorbikes. One of the reasons I own a boxer BMW is that it has a legend of its own, and the Rockster ins spite of being a modern machine has a 70´s look with some streetfighter style.
viele Grüsse
albrecht

I would support that cause, if Roadster owners are tolerated.
Welcome

Welcome Michael !!
Years ago I drove a rental BMW 316 the length of the romantic road from Rotenberg OT to the Grarmish area. Best trip ever. Hope I can try it again on a R1150R sometime. Enjoy
