Does anyone have experience installing and using the SW-Motech Riser/Barback?
(see it at: http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/pr ... /2015/246/)
I'm specifically wondering if there is enough cable slack on the 05 1150R, or will I have to fiddle with the cables to avoid interference.
Apparently, it raises the bars by 1.2" and sets them back toward rider 1".
Any insights are appreciated!

I may be of little help but I have installed the Moto-techniques
http://www.moto-techniques.com/bmw.htm
1" x 1 1/4" (product # 513-062M) which has similar rise and setback to the SW-Motechs and I can tell you that this is the limit of the existing cables. I am extremely pleased with my risers and this modification in particular as it takes much needed loading off of my wrists.
A word of caution for the installation of any bar risers: SIT the machine before installation and memorize the angle of the bars so that you don't accidentally bring them further toward you upon retightening. Also, TIGHTEN LIGHTLY, this is done by feel and not by torque-loading. The bars will become clamped without a change in torque-feel. If they feel securely anchored, ride the machine, test, and bear in mind that they may "settle" within a few miles and the Allens can be safely turned a bit as needed. The threads are easy to strip. You have been warned!

Most people don't do what's right, they do what's most convenient and then repent
