BMW R1200R R1150R/T F800 K1200R R1100R/T R1250R RnineT Message Board

I own a 2000 R1100RTP, sometimes when down shif from 4 to 3 gear, it show me a letter E on the display, and the 3 gear take a lot effort and make noise to get back in to, there is someting wrong with the gears or the cluck. Please helpe me. Thanks
