DJ and I and 10 others are doing a 900k ride this coming weekend. It's an annual spin up to the local tallest peak in Victoria. It's called Mt. Hotham, or warm pig to some. http://www.hotham.com.au/

We stay down the road at Dinner Plain, an alpine village away from the hoohaa at Hotham...mind you, there's not much hoohaa in November.

It's a nice lodge, we have a great meal in another lodge ( http://www.crystalcreekresort.com.au/restaurant.htm ) and hit the pub after for a spot of pool and darts. http://www.dinner-plain.com/Images/dp_Winter.jpg

The following morning we all awaken to a huge greasy brekkie prepared by our host. Most are hungover and we talk of who farted loudest, longest and most odiferously! Lots of coffee. It's the height of intellect.

Anyhow, last year one of the fellas wanted to bring a girl...BRRRR!!!! most of us went! Why would you want to go and do that? Remember, most are 40's, married with children and it's traditionally been the boys weekend away. We don't play up much

We managed to convince said perpetrator of the oath to forego the plan. Phew! Close call.

BUT...this year it's happened again. This time it's someone else!

What would your response be to the request Don't hold back!

Boxerboy...let me set everyone straight...you had the loudest fart...and Dennis had the loudest snore...geees was he loud..

What's she like...got a pic...I just thought I might get stuck behind her during the ride...and...does she know about the farting and snoring..

The ride last year was great...the year before was cold with snow...and can we stop on the way back at that pie shop...they were great pies...

In answer to your question...I say no pillions...cause it might slow us down in the twisties... ..here's a couple of pics from past Hotham rides.

actually it was very hot...I needed a big drink that I can scull down real fast..I think at the next stop I was back to my usual coke..

Mick's 900SS is now going well, having identified and sorted an ignition issue and replaced an almost unobtainium part we managed to bust. $90 for a little valve at the fuel outlet ...and some think BM bits cost !!!

None in stock, must be sent from Sydney. Oh no . Maybe even from Bologna!!! Luckily we found one at Eurobrit wreckers in Greensborough for $44.
