Water in the headlight?

I washed up my 1150 a couple of weeks ago and was pretty amazed to see about 2 ounces of water sloshing inside the headlight. I fiddled with what screws and so forth I could see, but could not find an easy way to get the cover off.
The water dried up but left a water mark inside. Has this happened to anyone else? Is this normal?
Any help will be appreciated.

Yes. There is no o-ring between the reflector and the glass. Water can get in.
As long as the level of the water doesn't get to the bulb, it's fine.

And the dried up mark that it leave can be easy wiped clean.
Take off the light unit by looosening off the screw at the bottom
remove the bulb(s)
poke a clean cloth inside on the end of a stick/dowel that wont scratch,
you will find it reaches the tide mark.

Here's the problem...if you look behind the headlight on the inside you will see spring clips that hold it nice and tight.
These clips move around with vibration and slid down causing less pressure at the top...letting water in.
Just slide the clips around so they are evenly spaced...this should fix the problem...if it continues you could use tape to stop them moving.

Thanks Dave ! I have noticed this a couple of times myself especially after riding in heavy rain or a long ride in the rain .
I plan on replacing my bulb with a PIAA .
This would be a good time to nose around inside !

What DJ said, is the fix... I had the same problem, spaced the clips properly and fixed it.
