Sargent Seat
I just bought a very nice 2002 r1150r and the previous owner threw in a Sargent Seat. I tried it out and it is more comfortable than the stock but it puts me too far back and too high. I'd just like it to be a little closer by an inch or two. Has anyone modified there seat to move it closer or are they pretty much stuck in one position?

What about Bar Backs to bring handlebar closer? Typically this model does not have a seat adjustment.

I need a taller seat that also lets me sit back a bit further. Maybe you need to relinquish that pain in the ass and start all over. Just saying. On a similar note does anyone know if the one piece 1200 model is a direct switch to the 1150?

You really need to do what feels best between foot peg position, bars and seat. The roadster felt good to me from the start, but as I rode I added barbacks and and the Airhawk seat which I've used for several bikes. It cushions the existing seat and lets me slide fore and aft to whatever's comfortable at the moment.

Do you use a tank-bag ? I ask because when I did the bar-back/risers....they caused the the bars to be in just the wrong alignment to the side of the bag. Causing the switches to hit on a full lock turn. Yeah OK one needs to be careful
but it is a PITA . With bars in the original location, they cleared the bag. BTW I use both Roadgear & my old Eclipse . The R/G does seem to work better with the risers.Re: Sargent Seat
I don't use a tank bag and have found the ideal riding position on the stock seat, so I think I'll just stay with it for a while and let the Sargent have a rest. If I get through the summer without wanting a change, I'll put it up for sale.
