Has anyone converted the 55/60 watt headlight bulb to an L.E.D. ? Gotta source ?

I'm interested as well. Tried a couple of HID's hi/low, not enough room for the ones with the little device at the end.

The first one has a replacement headlight assembly {7"} [for] motorcycles [can-bus] compatible but pricey .

The second one has an easy to navigate site, for cross-referencing all bulbs.

Give them a look , give us your opinion.....

That's about 1.4X lumens over an H4. That would be great! The amperage reduction would be a benefit as well.
Bad part is that L.E.D. lights have an emitter rather than a filament. Most of these emitters aren't aligned to project in a proper pattern through a HID bike headlight lens , especially a glass lens that is faceted to spread the light in a useful way.
I'm not sure of ballast room on those items either,and have never seen one with a fan .A mechanical fan would mitigate the advantages of going LED , perhaps. Most LED solutions I've seen are expensive,but I'll keep looking .

I see that there would be the advantage of long life with an led headlight. However, modern H-4 headlights are far ahead of their ancestors regarding their brightness, dispersion. I have to wonder if we need them to be brighter? I have been nearly blinded by high-tech headlights of oncoming vehicles. When is enough, enough?
