I've seen so many of you swapping out the Mickey Mouse ears for the KRS mirrors... do they vibrate the same amount?

yes, same.

I have the K12 mirrors on my bike, but in truth I've never used the stock ones. I did replace the "Micky Mouse" mirrors on my K12 with the newer shaped ones that we know today. When I bought my R bike I just switched mirrors.

I did like the updated design better than the round one. I'm not sure about vibration, but it does give a wider view. For nothing else I would make the switch.

I found they are a little more blurry than the stock mirrors because they are lighter. My next modification to my biken (soon) is to drill a 1/4" hole in the mirror's plastic shell bottom portion and add headless bolts or studs and 1/4" ball bearings together with squirt shots of super power hot glue in between groups of steel part insertions. This "pile" would be added to the outboard portions of each mirror, using gravity with (removed) part orientation, until the mirror is about half full of glued together steel parts that are also stuck to the mirror glass and plastic mirror housing. I know this shadetree mechanic mod will kill at least 90% of the blurries. You can get the same clarity from each mirror if you just touch the outboard edge lightly with your thumb while riding.

Even with the very slightly heavier blurries, the K12RS mirrors are way better looking and the wider field of view is safer.

Personally I kinda like the round mirrors. They repeat the round design of that gorgeous headlight.

But....they are way better when it comes to rear viewing, albeit blurry!

I have the KRS mirrors and am planning to get a bar snake. Their website states that if you have internal dimples or internal wiring in the bar, you have to use the liquid version. I believe we have dimples, but not sure about wires. I've never had my grips off. If no internal wires, I'm going for the liquid option (no way would I inject hard setting liquid if there are wires in the bars--if my heated grips ever die I don't want to have to end up replacing the entire bar!). Will post results if I proceed.

It doesn't say on the Web Site that one can replace wires within the bars, even with the liquid version. Can they be replaced if they go bad?

Have heard lead shot with small silicone plug at each end works
and is cheaper and removable.

I have had two sets of K12RS mirrors. The actual mirror gets loose in the housing and vibrates (rattles!!!-even with ear plugs!!!). My local dealer (Blue Moon Cycle-Norcross, GA), but when the second set began rattling, I decided to make my own fix. I took some of that double sided sticky foam tape that we us in the automotive industry to hold on emblems and all kind of stuff and cut very thin strips and stuffed them at the right and left edges of the mirror. I now have vibratio free (relatively-it is a twin you know) and QUIET mirrors. I wonder if the K12RS guys have this problem??
