BMW R1200R R1150R/T F800 K1200R R1100R/T R1250R RnineT Message Board

Owned an R1150R for about 7 years before trading it in for an R1200R. It's now been almost 5 months since I picked up my R1200R but I still (almost daily) reach down a few blocks away from home to push down the fast idle lever (which clearly doesn't exist on this bike). Anyone else remember having that problem?

I still laugh at myself everytime I do it.

BTDT. I had choke or fast-idle levers on BMWs from 1984 through 2010, when I bought my R12R. First couple of months, I was always grabbing at the non-existent lever half a dozen blocks from home. Eventually, the muscle memory faded.

I still ride my K75 a couple times a month, but I don't even think about the idle lever on the R.
